Privacy
What Code Word stores, and why there is no cookie banner.
What is stored
Your progress on a puzzle — the letters you have entered, your pencil marks, the elapsed clock, and whether you have finished — is saved in your browser's own storage. It never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere.
What that means practically
Clearing your browser data clears your progress. Progress does not follow you to another browser or another device, because there is nothing on a server to follow.
No accounts, no tracking
There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party scripts. Nothing here sets a tracking cookie, which is why there is no cookie banner.
Hosting
The site is served from Microsoft Azure via Cloudflare. Both keep their own short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, as any web host does; neither is used to build a profile.
